Default Prelude turbo oil pan question

What are people doing for pans.i got a steel one from ebay but it leaks.i put new gasket on it but still leaks.i think it was for a h23. I don't remember.

Id like a steel one to weld to.any help

-Get original oil pan.
-Drill a hole in it.
-Weld on a 3/8" FEMALE NPT fitting.
-Put a 3/8" Male NPT Plug in the hole and remove it when you're ready to put the turbo on.

So we can weld these aluminum pans? want sure if the quality of the pan if we could weld it.

aluminum pans use silicon ,steel use a gasket

i know. my steel on leaked bad. I used a gasket. id tighten it down and the gasket would sqoosh (<--brain fart word)out then leak. I think it had little nipples on it.

My aluminum one never leaked. I still have it but it has stripped oil drain back. I was going to weld piece of aluminum to fix it. just wasnt sure on if i can weld to it because of the quality.

is there any tricks for this steel one to work?

i dont know if i need one.

if i can weld to the aluminum then ill be fine. I was hoping someone would chime in and say that they have welded to a stock aluminum pan before. if so, i can mine fore less then buying another one.

how much u want your pan for...see what my options are..

i'v never had aproblem with steel pans and h22 and h23 steel pans are the same

i'm gonna be using my h23 pan on my jdm h22a cuz the h23 has already welded a bung for the turbo return line
