PC does not see the ECU HELP!! Please
For starters i need to know if its going to work
i got a usb cable and a ttl to usb adapter i cut the ends off put a for prong deal on the end that that would connect to the ECU prong i got soldered on and cut off j12 i got the drivers for the ttl to usb and it seems to be working but it just does not see the ECU. what do i need to do
ECU Side
1: Black
2: Red
3: None
4: White
5: None
am i going to have to hook up the 5v or 3v wire.
Help Please.

Sorry about that i have a 95 Civic with a B18C1 DOHC Vtech It's got a P06 but it was converted and chipped am i going to have to do something else to make the Datalog work

You don't need to hookup power at all, notice it says power output for target devices... The ECU already has power at CN2 and this device is powered by USB. What you do need to do is make sure the drivers are installed.
CN2 does not have the same pinouts as this device. You will need to switch the wires.
1: GND
2: RX (Data from the PC to the ECU)
3: +5 - No connection needed
4: TX (Data from ECU to the PC)
5: N.C. (not connected)

I got it to work but it doesnt change it shows up vtech on ecucontrols but with the key on it shows 940 RPM, and when starts it doesnt show any change.
the com port is set to 38400 and so is the ecucontrols is there anything else i need to change? and on crome it does not loop back.
not sure what i need to do i am just setting it up for the gauges not so much to datalog.

What version of Crome are you using? If your using the free version of Crome you will not be able to datalog.

I'm not sure what version i have. but i just want gauges on the screen..lol..
What would be the best software to use for gauges on the pc screen?? i have a 10 inch screen in my dash...Thanks for the help...

If you're absolute on staying with what you have this is the only one I know of that is public and supports the stock protocol.

Otherwise you'd be better off getting a map made in several of the tuning options available and using their respective datalogging software.
