i noticed everyone on honda-tech upgrades to GSR cams really didnt see anyone upgraded to Si cams.

and from my H-T search i found out that Si cams got better specs than GSR *currect me if im wrong please*

which would be better for my FI setup?

gsr Cams are better than 1st and 2nd gen b16 cams. better yet go with a set of typeR cams and you'll pull more outta your setup than any other stock cam.

Just get Blox B or Skunk2 tuner2 cams. Dont waste your time with anything else. GSR / ITR cams make good power but at higher boost.

if the dude is asking which cams make better power, si or gsr, why the F&^K do people come in here tellin him to buy some 300-500 dollar ****.
He obviously is on a budget and asking about cams that are readily available to him.

lol thanks mikey.. i understand their point that those stage one after market cams make alot more power..but im looking for a cheap upgrade for now

anything would be better than my first gen b16 cams as their the worst cams you could find

I just want someone to explain to me.

my tuned said he just tuned a car that had 1st gen bseries cams and switched them over to oem gsr cams and saw a gain of about 24hp on the setup while changing nothing else other than a retune

i actually just picked up a set for hella cheap for my b16 setup hope to retune soon

the gsr cams are better than any b16a cams. b16b is different story but thats same as itr cams so thats self explanitory.

Are you just going to upgrade the cams or are you going to do any valvetrain work? If you can hold out for a little while, I'd get better cams than the GSRs unless you're doing the work yourself than $50 isn't much to spend

If you installed itr valvetrain then save up and get itr cams. you can find them cheap just keep digging around. you wont be dissapointed. they will far outperform the b16 and gsr cams. i got mine for 200 bucks

Real world dyno numbers are better than any spec. sheet.

When I first went VTEC, the GSR cams worked better in my setup than the B16 cams I already had available. I saw a 19 whp increase. And I have seen it SOOO many other times on other user's cars that the GSR's outperformed the B16's. Sure, it may vary from setup to setup, but Im just speaking from MY experiences. But I have ITR's now, thoh.

1st gen b16 cams are the worst ones ever made. 2nd gen b16a cams are are aggressive just as the gsr cams are. The gsr cams duration is longer and keeps the valves open longer, and the lift is just a little more than b16 cams. IMO, any stock cam is better than 1st gen b16 cams that the op has.

GSR's are a good stock cam to start with. Eventually down the road i would consider upgrading to itr or ctr cams, but for the price of gsr cams and the power they yield for boosted cars they just cant be beat.
