Default Do these times sound about right?

Motor:

GSR block
LS Crank
LS rods
PR3 Pistons
CTR Crank Pulley

Head:

Stock VT
GSR Cams
Gasket matched exhaust ports

Transmission:

Stock B16
Aftermarket Clutch
~12lb Flywheel

Bolt-ons:

Edlebrock PerformerX Intake Manifold
RMF Narrow Rep Header
3 1/2 -> 3in Iceman SRI
3 1/2 K&N filter
Apex-i WS2 Cat-back

Tires/Suspension:

Omni Street Coilovers
BFG Drag Radials on Del Sol wheels

A few weeks after I swapped the motor into the car, I dropped oil pressure and spun a few bearings. Cyl #2 also dropped compression. I'm still not sure what caused it, but I installed an oil pressure gauge to keep track of that as best I can from now on.

This run was done with full exhaust, compression was 210-150-220-220, stock plugs.

60ft: 2.29
1/8: 9.35
MPH: 76.89
1/4: 14.54
MPH: 94.58

Went back two weeks later. No exhaust (open header), few degrees advanced timing, compression was 210-90-220-220, bkr7e plugs.

60ft: 2.08
1/8: 9.02
MPH: 78.33
1/4: 14.11
MPH: 96.59

2 step is at 5200 on a basemap. I don't have any dyno numbers for this setup.

For some reason, I don't feel like this setup is running as fast as it should. I know the low compression in cyl #2 is what's hurting me.

I'm going back to the track tonight to try and get that 13.9, at least. I want to break the 13s before I finish my new block.

I'm going to try a 2nd gear burnout and work on my shifting. Hopefully that will help me reach my goal.

look there first.
also why a 7 heat range on an na motor? i may be wrong, but i think thats a little too cold for your setup.

Why are you racing a 3 cylinder?

And a basemap??

You can't compare times at all when there are multiple very important things wrong with the car, get decent compression in all cylinders, and get tuned.

I sense a future full track oil-down

Curious to why you have the ctr pulley in bold. Could you explain that?

And about the spark plugs, that's what I saw recommended in the all motor section for my range in compression. Should I be using a hotter plug, or even the stock replacement?

So, last night I wasn't able to reach my goal. I lowered the psi in the tires and tried a 2nd gear burnout on the first run. I bogged bad off the line. After that I went back to 1st gear burnouts, but with less time on the throttle. Still bogged, but was getting 2.0 60fts and a best time of 14.2. I think if I wouldn't have bogged, that 13.9 would have been easily reached. Since last time out, when I pulled that 2.0 60ft, it just hooked and went.

On the last run I drove around the water box and had a little better launch. Spun a bit, then hooked, but I missed 3rd gear. I didn't pick up the timeslip because of that, but know that I think of it, I should have just to see the 60ft.

I tried powershifting, but could not get it into gear even with only half throttle. Stumped on what that could be.

As far as the basemap, I'm not going to pay someone to tune a 3cyl motor. I'm 75% done with my other block, I think it'll last another few weeks as a daily.

ctr pulleys and other light weights have been a contributor to oil pump failure. when it fails, bearings usually follow.

The bearing incident happened before I installed the pulley. I've since replaced the bearings, and oil pressure is holding steady.

I'm thinking of going back to the stock pulley. I just couldn't find any that were in good shape, locally.
