Hey Honda-Tech,

I know that this is the drag racing section but i figured that this would be the best fit for this topic..

As we all know when you run massive slicks that stick out way past your fender lines we all get some sort of burnt rubber up the sides of our cars.

Is there any special product that will help ease the scrubbing?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Kerosene works.......

i use this along with a microfiber towel, and for the tough spots use some wd40.

just remember wd40 and kerosene will strip off any wax that is on the car so reapply some wax to make it easier the next time to get the rubber off

ive always used simple green. everywhere. buy some i own stock in it, lol

 

Race Gas

 

WD-40..its the easieast thing to use with out messing up the paint. And very easy to find

 

not much help after the rubber is already on there but i always use Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish before i go to the track and when i get home the rubber will wipe right off.

 

Turtle wax bug and tar remover

 

Putty knife?

 

a whole lot of elbow greese, along with some cursing, sweating, and **** getting thrown around

 

i like bug n tar remover...

 

Orange based cleaning products, elbow grease, and rag

 

BBQ lighter fluid
