Default Difference between OBD1 and OBD2 GSR Lower Timing Cover

so ive searched high and low and cant figure out the difference between the OBD1 and OBD2 B18c1 lower timing cover...my only thought would be something for the CFK sensor thats not located on OBD1 motors. Can anyone tell me the difference? Im in the market for one but dont know which one to buy

I think the covers are the same. If I remember right I have a 97 GSR lower timing belt cover on an obd1 block.

slight cutout for the cfs sensor

the mid and upper pieces are the same

obd2 will fit 1 but 1 will not fit 2 if you still have the cfs

If you're going to be running an obd1 ecu then no you dont need the CKF sensor

If you run an OBD2 oil pump (sometimes called an ITR oil pump even though there is no such thing), I believe you have to either use an OBD2 lower timing belt cover, or modify the OBD1 cover.

I understand if im running OBD1 i dont need a CFK, however ive chose to go OBD2, keeping it with the car thats OBD2, the entire motor was pulled out of an 01 GSR so i do have the OBD2 oil pump....so it IS possible to modify the OBD1 cover in the event i cant find an OBD2?

You'll just have to cut a gap out of the obd1 cover so that the wires can pass through.

Nice infos.
Im going to swap from OBD1 pump to OBD2 next week
So i will not looking for an obd2 cover anymore.
The OBD2 oil pump is called ITR pump cuz there is only 1 pump for the OBD2, Vtec or not...
