NEWLY SWAPPED HEAD, NON RUNNING GSR CIVIC PLEASE HELP
Okay so I have a 1998 civic hb dx with a 1995 gsr swap. it ran pretty good before i decided one night to race my buddies gsr integra (kicked his ***). well i went to shift into fourth and did the BIG NO NO and went into second gear. so i had to replace a few exhaust valves, the shop put new retainers in, and hot tanked it. well i went to put it together with new gaskets and arp head studs at the ready. everything went fine till we tried to start it. It would just crank and thats it. I checked fuel, getting that, i checked spark there is that as well and check timing and that seemed perfect. i know i had the correct firing order, my dizzy isn't bad cause nothing changed when we tried my buddies 2001 gsr dizzy. i had my honda mechanic buddy come over and check over almost everything and we just could not get it to run. if push start there was nothing. Im gonna take it to a family friend who is a mechanic next week, but i was hoping i could figure it out before then. please help i just dont know what to do.
Did you check your fuses? (First step! lol)
When you set the crank to TDC, and the with the cams lined up, do you have number 1 cylinder (number one is on timing belt side) spark plug wire matched with the distributor rotor? You said you have spark.. and have fuel.. No restrictions in the intake?
Can you compression test the motor?
