1999 Honda Accord - Transmission Guru Needed - Rebuilt transmission bumps when cold
Okay, I rebuild Honda transmissions weekly. But this one has me stumped.
I have rebuilt this 1999 Honda Accord Automatic. It runs great once the vehicle has warmed up. However, it bumps incredibly hard when first driving. Normally, I would expect the bumps as things get hot.
Just hoping there is a transmission guru that can point me in the right direction?
Thanks for any help!

you need to take it apart and do it again, transmission should shift properly cold or warm. when you did the rebuild did you take the time to apply all of the latest honda fixes? also using non honda parts is a big no do on these. (ask me how I know....lol look in the archives for Kennedy transmission I had my 98 trans rebuild 4 times in 11k miles)

So which do you do in order to get the most acurate reading of the transmission fluid level? When the car is warmmed up or when the car is cooled off?
According to my manual the fluid level should be checked at normal engine temperature with the engine off. Check your manual and see what it says. Checking the level when the engine is stone cold will be very close to checking it when the engine is warmed up (normal temperature).
i read a forum where a car had the same issue and it ended up being a shift solenoid. also check the screen under the shift solenoid
