Default What are the chances both are bad???

Ok I know that there are tons of threads about either of the IACV and the Fast Idle valve telling how to check so see if and which one is bad. But what are the chances that both are bad and what symptoms would occur.

I had an irractic idle, cleaned the IACV, no change, so I disabled CEL via hondata and unplugged it and idle was good. 1yr later the idle became irractic again. Found that the FICV was all the way out. fixed it and was told that that was my problem before. plugged IACV back in. NOW car idles low and dies. Tried unplugging IACV again and car just dies right away. Have tried adjusting idle screw but with it dying when IACV is unpluuged, no changes. I am thinking that the FICV is bad mechanically altogether and that the IACV is also. Someong told me to check my throttle spring. Has anyone run into this problem?
