Default Best thermostats?

So I still have a prob with my heater blowing luke warm air at best, I've flushed the coolant and bled it and there was no changes. The next step is my thermostat...

I bought a Fail-Safe, but I've never used this brand before. What are peoples thoughts on what is good and bad?

is your temp gauge reading normal? if it's reading normal operating temp, you may have a plugged heater core or your air blend door is not directing air over the core completely, or your water valve may be malfunctioning. If the gauge is reading cold all the time, then, with the engine having run for about 10 minutes, grab the upper radiator hose and see if it is hot or not. If so, your heater should be working if all the interior parts are working correctly. just make sure that your engine is warming up to temp before doing anything else. if you replaced the thermostat, then you should be getting hot water to the heater core assuming you have bled all the air out and there is not blockage in the core.

it runs normal temp within 3-5mins. It doesnt hop around either, I'm mostly replacing it because I like how fail safes stay open when they go out.

If you still don't have heat, either the core is plugged, has air trapped, or your air blend door is not closing properly. Visually confirm that the water valve on the heater hose is open, then try holding each heater hose at the firewall once the car is hot (and blower off), and if one of them is not hot, the heater core is likely plugged. If so, pull the hoses off the heater core and try to flush it with water through both tubes, to maybe clear the blockage. If there is no blockage, you probably have a blend door issue. This is all assuming that there is no air trapped anywhere.

A lot of people recommend the gates racing or the mishimoto one to have it open up at a lower temperature, therefore keeping the car cooler and not running at the normal temperature it should. I disagree, the OEM Honda therm. is the best bet.

the fail safe one is OEM standards so I guess that would be an example. i like that thermo too because when it goes bad the valve stays open instead of closing, so basically I don't have to worry about blowing the head from overheating if my thermo goes

Sounds like the heater core valve is not working right, just like mine.
When you turn the **** from cold to hot it moves a valve that lets hot coolant run through the heater core. The heater control itself sometimes gets stuck and the valve cannot go full open and full closed. Its located near the two heater core hosed going into the firewall on the passenger side. I just manually adjust mine under the hood for now.

The heater valve is probably stuck closed or not open all the way. Follow the heater hose from the head back to the firewall. You should come to a plastic box looking thing which is a heater valve. There's a metal wire hooked up to it. You can turn that mini arm to close or open that valve.
