Default water temp in normal driving?

I just installed a new water temp gauge and my readings are at 230F during a hot summer day. It's a B18c1 motor. It seems pretty hot and I'm unsure if it's normal

200-210 is normal operation temp. 230 is high. You have problems

yes even a little air can be a Big nightmare. ive had tons of problems after my swap with air in the lines and i always though it was electronic problems but i later found it it was air.. strange how it keeps you alive but some times can be your worse enemy. and the cars

I am driving it for a bit now and noticed that it gets hotter the longer I drive. What is the overheat temp anyway? I have a mishimoto rad. The only time it cools down is when I idle and when the fan kicks in.

Is the lower radiator hose getting hot?

Try bleeding the cooling system.

Ive been saying for over a year now..

Mishimoto keeps saying that there slim fans work perfectly in keeping the temps down.. I went thru a 12" and that didnt do anything. I tried their 14" and not much difference.. (there was only like 50 more CFM with the 14")

I went to Xenocron.com and bought their 13" 1300 cfm fan and it works great..

I really think this is why Mishimoto went to a triple core cuz their fans on the dual doesnt seem to work on hot days..

Yes both of the hoses are hot. I have an obd2 motor so the only way to bleed it is to open the rad cap while the car is running and squeezing the upper hose. I was wondering if I could mount my stock fan on the mishimoto rad.

Bleeding may take 20-30 minutes:

1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.

2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.

3) Follow the directions in the diagram below

Sweet thanks I'll try that tonight.
The temp should never exceed 200f on normal driving right?

Just bleed it today. It didn't work. I was peaking at 230f.

When I was driving and was at 190 for a while then it went up.
