Default water pipe / connecting pipe o-ring replacement

Hey,

Does anyone know how to replace the o-ring (waterpump) side? as I think it is the o-ring that is causing a small coolant leak on my b16a

I believe there is no actual bolts holding the waterpipe to the block but how do you remove the thermostat so that I can remove the pipe and replace the 0-ring between the waterpipe and waterpump?

Thanks for any help

to remove the water pipe ("metal pipe" as i usually say):

-drain the coolant, but be prepared for more to drain later on...
-remove the entire thermostat housing. i don't recall specifically how the B16 housing is fixed to the engine but it's usually 2-3 bolts into the block or into the manifold..
-it can be tough to pull the housing from the pipe and the pipe from the back of the water pump. silicone spray lube can be helpful. you're right about not having any bolts on the pipe. many others do use a bolt (F-series, D-series, H-series...)

o-ring install:
be sure everything is clean, install new o-rings on the pipes and shove them in place. make sure the small tabs on the pipe are lined up properly.

Yeah, I had to replace an O ring on my LS block and I went to the parts store and couldn't find the right one so I had to shave one down and make sure it would seal lol.... That is one of the things I HATE changing now.. it was such a b**ch. but I finally got it in there lol.
