Default cluster not working

ok so my friend has a 95 accord ex f22 b1. he changed the heater core and had to remove the whole front dash. now he has put it back together and the cluster doesnt work neither does the turn signals outside the car. he has taken it apart 3 times to check and make sure everything is plugged up correctly and no fuses are blown. i think that it may be a relay gone bad somewhere because he said that a wire had arced what do u guys think.

Turn signals look at the hazard switch, if that isn't plugged in or working the signals don't work.

What isn't working in the cluster? Lights? Dials? etc?

Ground wires aren't properly grounded.

I agree with the sloooooooooooooooomofo as a good place to start. If nothing is working at all then it's probably an issue with grounding for the harness.

Check the grounds are in their original locations and your friend didn't lop any off or mount them different (like to a painted spot)

Haha, well that's kind of an important thing. See if you can track down what wire sparked up.

I am also having this issue as well, I was wiring up the reveres lights for the 5 spd swap, and when I was checking the auto connector, the cluster lights dissappeared, all lights and gauges don't work except for the battery light and the blinkers.

Any ideas?

What about the dash lights and parking lights?

Check small lights fuse (underhood) and the dimmer controller.

The dimmer switch for the gauges works, and so do the headlights, but the cluster - aside from the indicators and battery light - is still dark.

*edit* small lights fuse and both lighting and dimmer relays are intact

Not the headlights, just the parking lights.

I'm not sure what you're saying then is not working. If the gauges work? What bulbs are out specifically?

I have no reading from my tach when the car is running, speedo does not read, none of the lights come on right before starting the car (you know when all the lights come on in the cluster, then go out), the switch on the side for controlling the brightness works, park lights work, but now the power windows don't.

Personally, if your tach and speedo are not working there's a chance you damaged them during the uninstall. I have heard of that happening on numerous occassions.

Any chance you can steal a known working cluster to test?

Problem found: ground wire became loose and fell off.
