Default Horn not working, only "click" sound - 98 Civic

Couldn't find a previous thread, sorry if there is one.

1998 Honda Civic EX. Had an auto shop replace my horn when someone hit my car and I was taking it in for work anyways. I got an aftermarket horn (can't remember brand) from Auto Zone. About a year later, whenever I press the horn, it just makes a click sound. If I press the horn about 30-40 times, it will finally start working, and then be good for the remainder of the trip. After I drive it the next day, the horn will go back to it not working and then working after I push it 30-40 times. So.....

I would like to see if anyone could help me out. The horn works after a while, so I don't think it's the horn. Maybe it's a fuse/relay/grounding? Does anyone know what I should check?

Also, it's a bit of a wimpy horn, can anyone recommend a good one to buy? Are there two horns for a Civic? One high and one low? Do I need to buy two?

If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

the click you hear under the dash is the relay clicking, which means at least half of the wiring is good, including the switch. its propably a bad horn, maybe a bad internal connection, or check the wires going to the horn where it got smashed.

Smashed? Can you recommend a good horn? I'm going to change it no matter what, I just want it to work for now while I search for a new one and for it to be working when I replace it.

I've heard Hella Horns worked well.. Anyone have these? Are there two horns or just one?

Can anyone confirm this?

Also, it looks like Hella Horns are really annoying, I just want a louder stock-sounding horn that doesn't sound as dinky as the OEM Civic one. Maybe an Accord or newer Civic has a better sounding one? Anyone know something about Fiamm Horns?

like i said, an autozone horn will work fine, and they come in different tones, deeper = less dinky.

I understand the deeper part, but my horn I bought about a year ago was $10ish and it may be broken now.... I'm not sure, so I want a reliable one.

You cant expect a $10 horn to last a long time, go buy a new one,
my dad wants to put a trian horn in mine.
