Was wondering if a 99 civic trunk would fit onto my 96 4dr civic without any modification?

 

yes it will fit perfectly. you will need to use the 99/00 tail lights as well though.
people do this all the time because they think that the 2000 rear looks better. to make it look good, you should think about getting the outer lights from a 2000 civic 4 door too.

 

I believe the trunk itself fits no problem, but I think there is some reason that you might need to do some slight re-wiring.

I know I talked about this with someone else on here once and that's what we figured out.

 

even the acura 1.6el would fit and looks alot better

 

yes i believe that some rewiring of the tail lights are required cause the light bulb sockets are not the same as the 96-98 compared to the 99-00
