help! rear suspension knocking.
I installed H&R sports with eibach pro dampers this weekend on my 99 sedan, now i get a knocking sound from the rear passenger side of car. Double checked that everything was torqued to speck. What could it be. My lca bushings are only a year old and look fine.
double check lug nuts are tighten down, check the strut bolts, make sure the spring is seated on the strut, did you take something off and not put it on. can you stand on the trunk inside and jump up and down and hear it? its putting about half an hour into looking into everything and retorq everything down, thats all i can say. hope it helps
i alread re torqued all of the bolts, and the pro-dampers came with bumpstops that dont need cutting. I bought new top hats and related bushings aswell.
are the bumstops supposed to be tight on the piston? the front ones are tight but the rear ones that came with the kit slide around really easily

Are you sure your exhaust isn't bumping against something? Do you have a rear sway bar? I had this same problem and it turned out it was my exhaust hitting the sway bar. Which is why you wouldn't hear it by bouncing the car around while it's not moving.

well, they checked all the bushings, checked that everything was tight and it was all fine. I'm going to remove the damper on sunday and check if it is blown. It shouln't be though its brand new and the noise started as soon as i installed the dampers. I'll post my findings on sunday.
