the nut on top of the rear shocks..is it suppose to be tight or a bit loose.
not the 2 bolts that go on the chassis.
my right rear suspension keeps making noise whenever the car goes over the bump,or uneven pavement.i checked all the bolts,the upper and lower strusts.they are tightened up,nothings loose.the only thing i can think of is the nut that is on top of the shock

it def. shouldn't be loose. that holds the bushings for the top of the strut. make sure its tight if its loosened up

If everything is tight then more then likely you have a blown shock or worn out suspension comp on the rear of the car. A torn rear trailing arm bushing will cause a loud clunking when going over bumps

the suspension combination is brand new.used about less than 2000 miles.
all the bushings are brand new too.i guess i will tighten the nut on the shock.and see if the situation still occurs.
