So I havea 91 hatch stock d15b1 with about 247k on it I was driving last wens came to a train stoped and waited for it to pass as I was waiting I noticed that the cluster lights dulled a lil so did the clock......I began to drive and the lights got dimmer and rpms and speed were not moving I had no power to anything I was cruising in 1st gear till I could pull over now the car won't start iv been reading online I just wanted some more opinions????????? did the battery light flicker off and on while driving...if so it is most definitely your alternator...btw did you wave to me when i was passing by on the train

 

Yeah battery light flickered and C.E.L came on and yup I seen u hanging out the window lol........easiest fastest way to remove??

 

i dont remember my cel coming on when my alternator crashed...oh well easiest way to remove it is from the bottom on the driverside...either try to wiggle it to come off after its disconnected or just remove the lower alt bracket and take it off...!!!

you said the cel came on only and not throwing any ecu codes correct...im not sure which ones are compatable but i know you can find them cheap on craigslist...!!!

 

Yeah cel came on and no codes now when I turn the car on cel don't stay on batterys dead tho lol I think ima buy a new one for sixty bone fu ck it
