The engine is a GSR with a turbo setup including a bov, tial wastegate, turboxs manual boost controller, etc. About 60% of the time the car is idling, it fluctuates. I checked all of the turbo-related vacuum lines and couldn't find any problems. They are all tight and zip tied. So I am starting to think it is a problem with the engine itself because, prior to the turbo, every once in a great great while the idle would fluctuate. Also, I am still on the basemap, I will be tuning next monday...is it possible that the tune will fix the problem?

A tune is just the magical answer? I find that hard to believe.

No wideband. I'm on a crome basemap which will be tuned Monday.

And as I stated, this seemed to be not related to the turbo install anymore...so, therefore, the question being placed in the 92-00 civic forum would be perfectly appropriate. Now that I am turboed, I need to post every tech question in the forced induction thread? No.

 

well considering most of the thread consist of a problem with forced induction i would post there just trying to help

why i think its your tune is becuase the basemap is a guess/estimate of what you a/f should be ,

whats your set up?

are you throwing any codes?

 

have you checked the basic idle problem causers? iacv or fitv ( if you have it )
