I have a question on my shifter. It is very loose, meaning when it's in gear it seems to be loose. does this mean that the bushings will need to be replaced?

 

Yeah, you're most likely talking about the shifter bushings being all worn out, which will cause an extra loose shifter feel.

usually the bushings bad even in some civics ive seen with 250k miles alot of the time its just the hardware ie the 1 bolt that goes through the ball part of the shifter is corroded or just needs to tourqed a little, i have energy shift linkage bushings and feels like oem its usually that bolt

 

I see, I planned on buying the energy bushings also.

 

the energy bushings should fix ur problem
