The point of rear brake conversion?
I think people say they do it for better braking, but they really do it because disk brakes look nicer than rusty old drum brakes behind your fancy new wheels.
if you have rear brake problems, which would you rather work on, rear drums or rear discs? I do rear disc conversions on all my cars for this reason. rear discs are a million times easier to work on.
I just did the upgrade on my car and the stopping power is much better. Of course my drums were worn out, but still.
And like others have said, discs look better and are much easier to work on than drums. I can't wait to upgrade my fronts now.

^Agreed. And as a sidenote, front discs have been mandatory since 1968 thanks to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 105 required front discs and a dual-chamber master cylinder for all cars.
