Default just replaced my seals, now a wet pulley

i did my timing belt this winter break but i forgot to lube the inner surface of the camshaft seal and therefore there was a mjaor oil leak. this time i came back and replaced it again, this time i did not forget to lube.

okay right now, everything is in place except for the upper and lower timing belt covers. i plan on leaving it running for about 3 20 minute sessions a day in my garage to see if the leak comes back.

now i discover that the face of the cam pulley is wet with oil, but it seems to be mists of oil.

i did not pull everything apart yet to see if the seal is leaking but for the top half of the cam seal, it appears to be dry, not sure about the bottom part of the seal.

having said that, could it also be the valve cover gasket or the bolt that holds the pulley into the cam that's not tight enough?

any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

thanks

the oil that you didnt clean when you did you cam seal is probably getting on the cam pulley from the heat inside the timing cover. it has nothing to do with the cam pulley bolt. try cleaning up the oil with brake cleaner or parts cleaner and a rag. you may have leaked alot of oil when your seal leaked

oh yeah, make sure you use honda bond on the valve cover gasket where the gasket goes over the cam cap. these corners are known to be leak spots and it is why honda bond in that area is recoended
