1999 Si help
I finally got my first Honda and I love it. I have been saving my money for the past year and a half to buy one.
The car still has the stock b16a2 with just i/h/e and a hondata chipped ecu. The problem I am having is when I drive there is a high pitched "squeak" I guess you could say. When I apply pressure on the clutch pedal the sound isn't as loud but still there, when clutch pedal is pushed it the sound stops. Still has the stock tranny with a stage 3 clutch and light weight fly wheel.
Thanks for the help guys. Just trying to learn.

Its your throwout bearing sounds like and fyi that stage 3 clutch is useless unless you have some kind of force induction goin on. I had a stage 2 on my EX/SI and it actually robbed me of a few ponies to be exact I loss 6.2hp and 2.7ft.lb so I went back to OEM and its much better just so you know.
That is what I was leaning towards but thanks guys. I have another question about the tranny. My 3rd gear has its rough times and in the next few months it will most likely be getting rebuilt. It will still have to be a reliable DD, but it would have its track days once in awhile. So would a Type R final drive benefit me? I'm hung on this because I dont know if it would be worth the 4500 rpm down the freeway if I ever needed to drive across town. Input and opinions are welcomed. Thanks again
I have the factory 4.4 in my tranny now and I have a B16a2 I dont really track my car because everytime I do, something happends and I have spend money getting new parts but I would keep what you have and see how you like it. Alot of my buddies like the S4C tranny just the way it is its a good tranny for track and street/highway.
