help me pick some pads
ok so my hawk hps pads just ran out on my eg.
it's basically daily driven now, but I do like having non sucky brakes.
like i can't stand it when you have to smash the brake pedal to get her to stop.
anyhoo, I'd like to try something different this time around
the hps do bite incredibly well, but they dust like crazy, and I don't know if I need THAT much bite. I mean I wouldn't complain, but having a LITTLE less wouldn't hurt.
Also saving money is GOOD.
so what's up with pepboys/autozone/kragen stuff?
any recommendations there?
Also I could get ebc greenstuff?
lmk
thanks!

get some autospecialty pads. made by powerstop. i've used them before and plan to get them for my current car also. not too harsh for daily driving, but good for hitting some windy roads too.
on my civic i just get autozone gold ceramic pads. theres no point in getting anything fancy. ebc green stuff will be better than the hawk hps fyi so if youre considering those theres a tidbit of info. my rsx has hawk hps but i need new fronts and considering ebc green stuff
Well I got some Pro Stop brand semi metallic from pep boys,
but I was thinking i'd return them.
I've read good things about ceramic, lower dust(would be nice!)
but i dunno,
ebc green would be nice if it was cheap i guess,
any more recommendations on specific autoparts store brands?

NOT Autozone. I thought it was fairly well known they make the worst pads on the planet, regardless if they're ceramic or not. NAPA kind of prides themselves on their brakes, I usually go with NAPA's medium tier ceramic pads.

ok duly noted!
anyone else wanna chime in?
i'll have to check my rear drums too, if they're amost out then I might be better off just doing a PITA full disc swap (rear/front) cuz i'm already looking at like 150 bux for this whole shebang
