i recently picked this harness up the other day with my b16a swap, came out of and eg and is obviously obd1, wondering if any one can help me find out wat this harness came off off originally. it has a plug in the middle of the harness, which has 3 wires, im thinking egr. And not sure if this was originally wired for vtec. but any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

 

The 3 wire plug could be the speed sensor. It could also be a crank position sensor (maybe).

 

ya i was thinkin vss also but it is in the middle of the harness and a little far from the tranny.

 

It looks like its just below the plugs for the side of the head.

 

ya not sure man. this harness is stumping me.

 

could it be an auto tranny harness that has been modified? the lockout solenoid sits right under the distributor and could very well be 3 pin.

wire colors? google ff tech, something like that. ecu wire colors run to the sensor.


compare the colors to the ecu pinout diagrams.

 

arent the ecu wire colors change when they go into the engine harness? ill plug it in and see if i can nfigure it out. thanks for info

 

found out someone had spliced in a vss with different wire colors. thnks for th help. its a d16 harness.
