all this color?
hi everybody, I need to know whether all 96-00 civics came with a grey interior or not. Every one I have been inside has a grey dash and seats. do any come with a black interior? and if so what color is the exterior? help would be appreciated
Hmm, I have a black EM1. My interior has the dark and light grey leather seats with the leather arm rests on the door panels and the senter consol. I wasn't sure if this was standard, because I have never seen any other civic with my interior.

I have a few threads that go over the interior and exterior colors (and combinations) for USDM '96-'00 Civics. I even have nifty little charts covering it.
'96-'00 coupes came with TYPE F (Excel Charcoal / Light Gray) and TYPE K (Classy Gray / Dark Gray) interiors.
'96-'97 hatches came with TYPE F (Excel Charcoal / Light Gray) and TYPE K (Classy Gray / Dark Gray) interiors. '98-'00 hatches all came with TYPE K (Classy Gray / Dark Gray) interiors.
'96-'00 sedans came with TYPE F (Excel Charcoal / Light Gray) and TYPE P (Medium Taupe / Beige) interiors.
All the Milano Red coupes and Roma red hatches came with the TYPE K (Classy Gray / Dark Gray) interiors.
I have owned two Milano Red coupes and had a Roma Red hatch in my household for about four years. They all had the TYPE K (Classy Gray / Dark Gray) interior and no, it does not look like black at all.
Black interiors came in a variety of combinations overseas, but never in the US. There are black/red Civic Type R interiors for one, plus there are a few different black interiors available in other trims. Some might have different fabric colors or carpet colors besides black though. For example, IIRC there is one with the Off Black interior for '96-'00 Civics. I know this was a US option (named this, at least) for '88-'91 Civics too.

Oh, and US Civics with leather interior pieces had these parts reupholstered after the cars left the factory (dealer option). Some cars I'm sure also have parts from other models, such as the Integras, or the leather could have been added by a previous owner at this point.
