from my personal experience I dropped a significant time from 60' by preloading. This was in a 500whp turbo car though.

i've got a problem w/ preloading when using my msd 7al..

when i pull the e-brake and release the clutch to the point that wheels are pulling, the launch control disengages...

so how can i remedy this problem?

i don't know how they installed the msd, but this is how i use my launch control: i have to press a button, wot the gas the launch control starts, release the clutch and launch.

It sounds like the MSD LC is run off of the clutch switch. You can adjust the switch or wire it up to the e-brake threw a relay. I didnt have good luck with MSD on the clutch......
