y8 knock
ok i posted on here a couple days ago bout a knock and havent got anything on it i dont think its a rod or bearing but i think its a hyper extended valve spring and if so does anyone have springs layin around?
Y8 heads are so cheap used that you might save money just replacing the whole thing with a lower mileage unit. Check the marketplace, never know what you might find.
I am mindbaffled on how you managed to mess up a spring though (assuming that is the problem). Is this engine stock? Fill us in a bit and maybe we can help you out.

its not stock i took it out of a 97 ek coupe and im not sure completley if thats the problem but its coming from the head not the block. i didnt notice it till i did my oil change. when i had got done i let it idle for a bit then took it down the street didnt romp on it but stayed around 2 2and a half. anything else you need to know?
It's really hard to say... I guess you could open the valve cover and see if there's anything super fruity. If you're positive it is the head, then just buy a new head and... problem solved - even if we never knew exactly what it was LOL.
lol thats cool i just am really strapped for cash right now i really dont understand why its doing it it just started i mean it might be a sticky valve cause the old oil is pretty bad. now i have thought bout if its not the head and is in fact the block the only thing i can think of is anti-freeze in the oil which would mean i have bad head gasket but not shooting blue smoke out the exhaust which is one sign and my oil isnt milk shaky so its got me puzzled.
