Re: y7 motor w/ z6 head (chue_li)
I don't have any answers for you, but can only tell you to search more, 'cuz I plan on doing the same however using a z6 IM, and going OBD1, If I'm not mistaken you need to add a knock sensor (unless the y7 has one?) some one on this site has done a y7/z6 swap, I've talked to him before.
It may be a little extra work but I guarranty that if you search hard enough you'll find 99% of what you need. (sorry not trying to be the search dick, but I've found this info before...)

Re: y7 motor w/ z6 head (chue_li)
i did a mini me swap y7 block y8 head first i had the stock ecu (obd2) you do need to get a knock sensor the y7 block does not comes with it but its already threaded for it right on the back I would strongly recomend you go with the y8 head instead of the z6 you will get higher compresion will breath better same with the y8 intake manifold much bigger than the z6, you can always convert from obd2 to 1 and you wont need the knok sensor after hope this helps

if your staing with all the obd2 (intake manifold) sensors if your getting a z6 IM you do have to convert

If you're using z6 head --> z6 timing belt
If you're using y8 head --> y8 timing belt
someone correct me if I'm wrong
