ive been having a heck of a day trying to figure out whats wrong with my car so i need so help and itll be much apreciated. i got a 96 civic ex. it has a dy16 non vtec engine in it. so it turns over and cranks but doesnt start up. the battery is perfectly fine. i have fuel going to the engine but my distributar isnt getting any sparks. AAA "mechanics" and my dad think its the ECU because the injector arent getting any power either. Can someone give me some help before i go and spend mass money on a new ECU????

 

First check all of your grounds, preferably with a meter set to resistance, and the fuses under the hood. If you haven't already, get yourself a maintenance manual and follow the procedures for testing the distributor sensors (TDC, CYP, CKP).

 

Do you have a check engine light on?
