There are two vacuum lines. One on the top and one on the side. I was only expecting one. The little diagram that came with it says the top one vents to atmosphere?? So I just leave it open? I know one goes to a vacuum source, but I just don't know which one and what to do with the other one.
Thanks in advance for the replies.

I have a manual turboxs boost controller, so I just run that inline with the other vacuum line, right?
tial wastegate --> vacuum line --> boost controller --> vacuum line --> vacuum source
Correct?
Do I even need to put that little nipple there? or can I just leave it completely open?

Pressure source? I plan to run all of these vacuum lines to the brake booster line, is this incorrect?

That just confused me even more...haha. So I don't leave that top one open? I need to run a line from that to the side port of my manual boost controller? with a hole in the line to vent??

Either tap a fitting into the turbo itself (compressor side) or intercooler piping to get a positive pressure source.
hope that helps
Edit brake booster is a vacuum source not a postive pressure source.
single signal waste gates operate off of pressure not vacuum, so you use a pressure source. just the correct terminology.
also, its best to tap into a source PRE throttle body. the best option being right at the compressor housing. that will ensure your WG has the best possible signal to give you the most accurate and steady boost levels.
the top and bottom ports would be used if you were taking advantage of a electronic boost controller, or even with some style manual boost controllers.

I understand where you guys are saying I should connect to a positive pressure source, but I need this running by today...so will it atleast work for the time being going off of the vacuum source?
Also, I Have a manual turboxs boost controller that I am using, so do I need to hook that up to the top port?
thanks in advance..hopefully i can get some speedy answers.

The bottom port should not be hooked up to a vacuum source at all. You can damage the diaphragm that way.
Your turbo XS boost controller will be hooked up to the bottom line of the wastegate. The top port should remain open.

How do people usually hook up that port to a pressure source?? have a little nipple welded to the intercooler pipes? i just don't really understand how I can get that pressure source right now. I don't know where I can run that hose to get a pressure source...especially when i need this thing driving in a few hours to get an exhaust put on.
Thanks for the help

Anything after the turbo spools is pretty much pressure. So any vac line off ur manifold will work. U can tap into ur fuel pressure regulator line or ur blow off line or any line on the I m. I wouldn't tap the brake booster line just because its huge. I run all my lines to the manifold I drilled holes on the bottom of my mani and everything works perfect

to the op if your pressed for time i think home depot sells a 1/4 fitting w/ a barb end that should be easily fitted to your ic piping for this.

sir. I believe you just contradicted yourself. It was already stated that the side port of the wg is to be connected to his mbc then a positive pressure source. That being said I believe any "vac line" or anything off the manifold is a no no as the tial diagram shows.

Does anyone have example photos of what this should look like?
my fault it was a lil late at nite. "if your still looking" in the plumbing section you'll find what you need or something that should work. drill ur hole on your ic pipe teflon tape and wala positive source.
do u even know how a mbc works? it just regulates how much "pressure" "boost" gets to ur waste gate. so anywhere u can get a boost reading is fine. thats how i use mine and it holds boost right exactly where i want it and never had a problem besides a leaking wastegate. i like the manifold cause thats right where ur motor is seeing boost so i think thats the most acurate spot.
wait but dont all vaccum sources become positive sources once your into boost so that will make all sources positive when it comes to boost. just my 2 cents
