hi HT members.

today i installed all my ac lines and compressor for the summer. and i dont know why my compressor turns off at idle... it turns on and quickly turns off.
BUT if i press the gas. it turns on again.. and stays on... until it goes back to IDLE...

oh by the way. i did charge it with gas.

does somebody knows why is my compressor doing this..??? any help would be appreciated. :D

Did you evacuate the system prior to filling it with refrigerant? Why did you replace the compressor, did it blow? Did you replace the expansion valve too? Did you replace the receiver/dryer.

 

I'd start by taking it to a shop and have them throw a machine on it. You've got to charge the system correctly since you're not sure how the system works. For all you know, you could have under/over charged the system and may not have added enough oil. Since you've already got the parts installed, I'd leave the rest to the pro's.
