Default crank but won't turn over

hey so my friend has a 2000 Si, did a b20/V-TEC conversion. He was able to drive it back to his house but then the crank pulley fell off because the friend who installed the motor didn't put the crank pulley key in. The power steering belt fell off with it as well as the Alternator belt. Now the engine will crank but not turn over. Things we've checked:

spark plug wires,
battery,
spark plugs,
fuses

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Do you think it could be the distributor?

It could also be the distributor or the coil.

Also check that the engine is getting fuel. You said he drove it home so obviously that was working, except it is worth double checking.

naw i dont think so, the sensor is located behind the plastic cover which is behind the pulley. i guess its worth checking. I tried looking everywhere for this same situation, but for some strange reason no one ever told about how they fixed it, or if they fixed it, so maybe this will be the first thread to figure out what it is!

or not lol

Well I hope you eventually get everything worked out. Things could be worse. It could be your own car that wasn't running.
