I dont think there is a difference since they both run o2 sensors. Shuoldnt be any differnet from each other. Someone can confirm this.

JDM ITR 4-1 header wont pass BAR. If you want one like that it would be the DC 4-1 header since that is what the copy is basically off of, and that one will pass BAR.

I don't think any ref will BAR a Honda motor with a header at all actually, regardless of it being JDM or not. It shouldn't matter since o2 sensors are o2 sensors but you'll find it much easier BAR'ing a car with the appropriate exhaust manifold.

If the REF knows what he sees, your JDM 4-1 header will not pass. If you have the heat shield on it, you may get lucky and he'll miss it. A DC Sports 4-2-1 has a CARB EO number so it will pass. A DC 4-1 ITR JDM replica w/2-1/2" collector will NOT pass as it does not have a CARB EO number (I confirmed this with DC Sports). Your best bet is to go with a stock GSR header and swap it after you BAR. Then put on a JDM ITR 4-1 header and get the factory heat shield. Most smog places won't know it's not an OEM header with the heat shield in place.

no no every swap i have done has been not legal. like a built gsr, few b20 vtec's ,b16's, ls vtec's, and k20's. so i know what im doing when it comes to "holding tools" as you guys like to say. im just going a different rout then my buddys. im gonna do a legal swap and build. thats why im asking about BAR.

and when i said header before i guess the correct term i should have used was exhaust manifold. seems like there was a little confusion on that

No. There wasn't. A header is different from an exhaust manifold.
Yeesh. C'mon man you don't have to act like you know what you're talking about, H-T is for people trying to learn as well as the learned. No one is going to flame you for trying to learn, they might if you act like you already know, however.

I'm giving you a hard time, granted. You're a newbie and can't admit it, I kind of feel obligated. I'd have more compassion if you wouldn't have come on to another users thread and tried to contradict my accurate answer for them with completely false, unintelligible, non-researched and unhelpful information. Also, Fungus Mungus and myself answered your question quite well, so do us all a favor and edit this thread as an answered one so the mods can delete it.
