Headlifting?
Hey guys
just recently I had the headGasket replaced on my b18c built boosted motor. We had a good look and the sleeves etc were fine. Anyway it previously had a cometic gasket on it and so I went and bought another, we had the head flow tested and very lightly skimmed. The motor had arp headbolts and we re-used them and torqued them using 3 step lastly at 70 lbs.
Anyway the carbwas fine out of the garage, drove fine and felt as it should. After allowing 100 miles or so I stepped on the gas in 2nd gear and when I got to the fuel station I realised it was throwing White smoke again.
However I checked the water level in the reserve this morning and the rad it was where it was a few days ago and not moved at all.the car wasn't smoking White either.
I'm quite confused as to what it could be? I was thinking that it's headlifting. Any thoughts advice?
