an actual damn tech question
(with window glass up)
remove your door panel, plastic covering and outer handle
remove the bottom bolt on window glass channel and slide it forward
remove the three screws from the door lock and carefully pull the whole assembly out of the door
your door lock acuator is on the bottom side of this assembly

Can you explain this with a little more detail? I am not exactly a stud when it comes to this type of stuff.

bottom bolt is a 10mm bolt, it holds the bottom of the window track, that blocks the actuator. you have to pull that track out (not too far, and be careful, you can rip the rubber lining) to get the assembly out. next, look at the handle on the door, from the inside, you see a metal bar going from the actuator to the handle (this is on a coupe, i know its one, could be more/less on a 4dr). You have to take the door handle out, turn it upside down, and spin it off that bar, to get it off. THEN unscrew the three screws on the end of the door, where the latch is. You also have to undo the two bars that connect to the inside switch. Those are self explanitory. NOW you take out the actuator, and reverse the process to get it back in.
edit: unscrew the three screws after getting the panel off, to gain manuverability.
