Hello Honda-Tech gearheads.

And now it is not working again. Simply put, as soon as i step off the gas (the car has been sitting in the parking lot for the last 4 weeks) in neutral, the car sputters and dies out...the weird thing is, it doesn't liek sit there a moment idling/sputtering...the tach immediately drops rpms the more i relese the gas pedal. until rpms reach about 700 and then it sputters really bad. any ideas? ive cleaned the IACV. i dont know what else it could be.

Car specs in short:
-'93 civic hatch
-'96 B18B
-B16 tranny
-the bay is wired for vtec, i.e. it was going to be an ls-vtec but never did the head swap, so the CEL is for a missing vtec solenoid. no other CELs.
(i drove it like that for 10 months without any problems)
-chipped p28 ECU
-the wiring to the ECU is a little ****ed up but like i said didnt give me any problems
-simple bolt-ons like Fujita CAI, full aluminum rad, Megan 4-2-1 header, Apexi N1 exhaust, Bennen fuel rail, Blox FPR.

If you have any questions that may help resolve the issue please ask. because as of right now the car is for sale...and i have an integra lined up for $1600...but it has high miles and IDK if i want to get it.

 

have you checked your ignition system..plugs, wires, dizzy? have you checked timing? compression?
