Will some one plz help me out..I kno my d15b w/3 stage vtec will bolt right up..I jus dnt kno what engine harness i need for this to work properly and what else i need..Ive already tried the d16z6 harness and its missn the vtec and two others..I also bought the JDM Auto ECU for the vtec to work its a P2J- J62...Ive posted up on hondaswap and b20vtec forums and didnt get much info...So plz h-t help a brotha out...
You can't use the automatic P2J ECU, its for a CVT tranny, basically you're screwed. You could if you really wanted to cut and weld the proper mount from an HX and use an HX CVT tranny and wiring harness. You can modify your original harness and use an EX automatic ECU and accept the fact that you wont have vtec-e, or as I said earlier swap the tranny and harness from an HX coupe. Easiest thing to do would be to swap in a 5 speed + 5 speed P2J ECU.

^^^Sounds good to do but dnt kno where to find one....At that i dnt wana switch my tranny wat so eva cause the car is my wife's and it has to stay auto...Im new when it comes to swaps neva did one yet..Il check tho to c where i can find the motor..thx for the info mikej94civex..
You could swap in a Z6 but you'd have to run an OBD2A P2P ECU and the timing will be off. The best thing to do is swap in a D16Y7 or D16Y8 from a '96 - '98 Civic.
