Default How to tell what engine I've got

I recently bought a 88crx HF and the dude I bought it from said that it had an 90 integra ls engine in it. I know it has dual overhead cams but thats all I can tell. How could I tell what type of engine it is?

Also I've been wanting to add power locks and windows to it, any suggestions on what I should stay away from or what I should go with for the cleanest look?

Thanks
New guy

look on the left side of the headers, under the head, between engine and tranny its goign to be a stamp on the engine block... its flat and has the engine code in it... if its a LS its going to say B18... something, some are B18A' some are B18B's

For the engine code, what he said ^. As for electric windows, you can buy kits on Ebay for pretty cheap I think. Not sure about power locks. You can always check the classified section for complete installs though.

Thanks bud, I'll do that. Also I belive he had a 90 si ECU installed also, how do I check that?

One side note, this forum kicks a$$. I've checked around and this seems to be the most used newsgroups for Crx's. Everyone here seems to know what they are talking about instead of just posting and telling bad info.

If its a 90 ls motor, check the block, and like the man said, it will say b18a on it. But Im pretty sure you cant use a civic computer teg motor (anyone wanna correct me on this?) It wont work. So I dunno, check what the numbers on the ecu say then post that here. Really though, not to talk smack about anyone, but I cant see how someone would buy a car and not know what they were getting. I would have done some research and check all that out before I put money on the car for sure. Just a thought.

Good point ZC, I didnt put any money down just a straight trade for a 95 honda CBR600 with 18k miles.

I didnt have any use for the bike and I've always wanted a CRX. I didnt have enough cash to buy a CRX so this was the next best thing. I know the car is worth the trade and If I knew how to post pictures I would.

Oh yeah, I dont know what the hell I was thinking, you can use the si ecu for the zc. You should acually just go out and get a 88 teg ecu, (pm7 I think? god I cant remeber anything today) better fuel maps for the zc, pulls alot harder, and no big dead spots in the rpm band. So uh yeah, Im a moron, sorry.
