crank position sensor

Default crank position sensor

dose any one kno how to test a crank postion sensor on a 99 b18c1 mine might be bad.. and do u have to replace the whole distibortor if so? thanks for any help

Crank shaft position sensor is mounted on the oil pump and gets the signal from the timing belt gear.

i believe you are correct.. its mounted on the oil pump in b16's and new model gsr's but i believe on the obd1 gsr its in the dizzy... someone correct me if im wrong.

OP has a 1999 DC, therefore OBD2, and yes, OBD1 is in dizzy.
