oil leak..... help!!!!

Default oil leak..... help!!!!

i have a 90 civic si with a6 bottom and y7 head

i have this huge oil leak next to the oil plug and it feels like the bolt is loose thread. Now what i dont know which one is loose thread the oil pan or the bolt. im loosing a lot of oil everyday. how can i fix this? do i need to get a oil pan or the bolt?

i searched i cant find any thread about this.

take the bolt out then put it up to your face and look at the threads on the bolt. if there good stick your head under the car and look at the threads on the oil pan. thats how you know whether you need a bolt or pan. just so you know it is common for oilpan threads to get stripped out from idiots at lube shops not caring. you can get a ghetto fix they sell drain bolts with little things that go up in the pan made just for stripped out threads.

oh ya make sure its not just loose from someone forgetting to tighten it all the way. or missing the crush washer.

if you are noticing the loss of oil everyday, it sounds like a significant leak. Try wiping the whole area down and waiting for oil to come out from somewhere. Or you can wipe it, drive it around the block, and then check. and do what black0hatch mentioned above

Napa parts stores sell an oversized oilpan bolt if it is the pan,it is like a self tapper,buy it and screw it in ar if it is your bolt just buy a new one.

ok ill do this after 3 months, cause i just got my oil changed like a week ago. I went to autozone and ask around i saw that thing where you have to drill on the oil pan and plug in a thread, is that what you talking about?

yeah i jacked my car up and wiped it and its leaking bad
