How to wire a dvc sub in with a 2 channel amp?
What's up guys? I have a really quick and simple question, my problem is my friends don't speak 'audio' so here goes:
I am picking up a 12" mtx 5500 thunder series sub and I will be hooking it up to my sony xplod 2 channel amp. Now, how should I hook the sub up? Should I run wires from each channel to the separate voice coils or should I run the voice coil wires in series and use the amp as a mono block?
any help is appreciated! and if anyone would like a refurbished 15" JL w0 v1 then please let me know

DO NOT wire each coil to it's own channel, wire it 8 ohms and bridge the amp, if you do each coil off of a channel depending on the music it could have the coils playing against each other. What size is the amp? because w0 have low power handling so at 8 ohms you should be ok.
ok cool thanx guys. it is a 1200 watt amp. so i know i'll have plenty of power for the sub. since you mention it matt, it makes sense that i shouldnt wire them to separate channels
