Default DIY trunk board

So my EG i bought did not have a floor board.
I was thinking about making one myself.
Later on i might want to ad a tiny subwoofer, so i need the wood to be decently thick for me to fasten it down.

What wood type or thickness works best for trunk board?

Is there a DIY thread? ..... it's pretty strait forward but tips from people who've done it would be nice.

I used 1/2" MDF to make a floor for my trunk. works just fine

I took the floor piece of the carpet out of my trunk, set it on a piece of wood, traced it, cut it, then sanded it down to get it to fit snugly.

MDF= Medium Density Fiberboard. It's kindof like partical board on steroids. Audio shops use it to make speaker boxes. Any Lowes or home Depot will have it in 4'x8' sheets

MDF isn't good with water / moisture.

True, but there should be any water getting in. it's not an integral piece for anything really, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Unless you spill a ton of water....but then it's cheap enough and easy enough replace
