hey i just put a vtec head on my 96 ek the car started once. now all it does is beep wen u put the key in but wen u turn the switch theres no power wat could this be????

 

power wires. are they tight? starter any good?
is there a click. or just plain dead? any lights come on?

the only way things work is if another car is jumpin it other then that dead

 

 

starters good the car will start only with jump cables all fuses are good the battery is in the trunk but ive had it like that for months with no prob. the main relay works. my problem is that without a jump from another car the car is completly dead the only thing that happens is wen u put the key in it beeps but wen u turn it everything is completely dead.

 

sounds like a poor ground.

 

thats what i thought but any where i put the ground it does the same thing. plus wen o put the cables on the battery it doesnt spark.

 

How do you know the battery is good? You said that when you get a boost everything works fine, which points to a bad battery.

 

i tried the battery in the car at first thats wat u thought so i excanged it and it did the samething so i tryed my eg battery and nothing so i tried 3.

 

battery cables may be bad

 

is the motor grounded to the body???

 

sounds like loose terminals to me homie

 

terminals or the ground isnt "grounded"

 

it was the fuse box under the hood i tookit apert n it was all burnt up got a new one everything works fine now thanks for everyones help
