2000 Accord V6 Starts then dies, or doesn't start
So I have been dealing with this issue for a long time now. At first, about once a year the car just wouldn't start. It would crank and crank but just not ignite. After about 20 minutes it would start up fine and no problems for a year. This went on for a while until it became more frequent and I finally googled the issue and found out it was the main furl relay. I got this fixed a little over a year ago and things seemed fine.
Then a couple of months ago this happened again. And now about once a week the car will start up fine and then start shaking and turn off. When this happens I either have to wait a while, or I start it and just before it dies I hold in the gas a little bit to keep it from dying and eventually it won't dye when I let off.
I'm guessing there is an issue with the fuel delivery but it seems like the mechanics can't figure it out because they can never reproduce it. I would love some suggestions because I'm just not ready for a new car.

I got a new relay. It wasn't done at a dealership either, just had a mechanic order a new one and put it in. It seemed to solve the issue pretty well for a while.
i agree with the mechanic, the only reason why it whould shake off and die whould be from a shortage of fuel.
multiple things that you can check, the o2 sensor, fuel pump, or maybe its not getting ingited well so maybe the sparkplugs. worst comes the worst there could be some things like sand and unnescessary crap in your cylinders, i had a car that got stuck in the mudbank and had the same exact problem.
does your car by any chance have a very low idle when you have your running?

^put a fuel pressure guage inline between the FPR and rails, if it is constant PSI then fuel delivery is not your issue
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to take it in sometime in the next few days.
I haven't noticed that the idle is any lower than normal. Its always acted the same when it comes to this stuff. The issue hasn't happened again (yet), but like I said it only happens once in a blue moon. Last time it happened was after I went to the grocery store and came back to the car and it didn't start, so its not really a cold motor.
I put in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner the other day, maybe its as simple as that (but I doubt it).
