my tegg fiberglass box build
i started lookinginto boxes for the back of my trunk and ran accrossed a few pics of someone who made these type of boxes to snug fit them and still have room for the tire and space in general. i figured why not ill give it a try. im not a fiberglss pro by any means but i did good for a first timer. check it out
these are from the build and ill have to take a few more of the finished install and how it looks in the car later...

after some filling and sanding i got to the point of covering, the idea was to use up the quarter panel space behind the tire and still have room up front to install the rear strut bar.
this box has a 4 " port as well so the massive fosgates going into them wont blow the box like a fiberglass grenade lol pluse it helped out with a great bass tune the 4" port ran 10.5" inside of the 1.5cf box should be tuned around 35-40
i have to take a few more pics to show how it looks from the inside looking passed the seats into the trunk area, the black wrap made it have a factory look over the carpet that gets dirty and impossable to clean.

have you seen the tiny boxes they sell for the 10" $350 yikes.. ive got bookshelf speakers with bigger boxes then that. this is also being done so i can run 2 Phat 12" fosgates and still get my tire in and out with removeing, tugging, or even touching my spare rota for that matter.
1.5cf after basket displacement, with a 4" x 10.5" (port not shown) is the referenced direct from fosgate for a vented box! if it was sealed as it appears here so far you would be correct. it would have had to be 4.5 to 5 cf if in a sealed box . there isnt really 8 square feet in these trunks to speak of ....
for this app its perfect.
will post more pics with port shown later , in the mean time i just finished the second shell for the otherside. cover for the spare next.

thats the cool part about it , i didnt have to tie the box down at all it sits snug into the corner and after slinging around corners and crap it has yet to move. if worse case i think idd add a few peices of velcro to prevent shifting but......thus far its not needed

any pics with the trunk's interior installed? if you were looking forward at it directly behind the car, how far does it stick out if at all into the trunk?
for the most part i wanted to stay to the right of the spare wheel well, the grill i used took up an extra inch or so i didnt plan on at the time i thought up the box but id rather protect my speakers,
thanks, those look really cool. i had thought of doing the fleese pull but i was going for the tuck and then ran into cf requirements on the power hx2 i put in , that made me go a bit wider but i can still get the spare in and out and have room for groceries lol. (sweet boxes)
thanks....that looks really good , i think by the time i get the second shell done and covered im going to strip the first and redo the vinal on it . so far im pleased with how its all working out, they sound great as well just didnt have the whole wrap and tuck thing going on very well as i dont do it hardly at all. nice job on your as well.
