96-00 front sway bar mounting non-si/ex
My 98 civic dx doesnt have a front sway bar, my question is where do I mount a OEM EX front sway bar? when I was under my car last I didnt notice any mounting locations for the sway bar bushings (threaded holes).
Any one threw a Ex front sway bar on there 96 to 00 civic dx?

You need the rear section from the EX lower control arm. There is a hole in it to mount the endlink. I may have mine for sale soon.
This is a good thread to learn more about what you need:

Thanks for the info,
The question im asking is I couldnt locate the points where you mount the bar to the rear subframe? is there threaded holes there from factory dx?

Are you talking about the front bar or rear bar. In the OP you said front but there you said rear subframe. For front you need the rear sections of the front lower control arms like Trey said. I think I have some arms laying around if you need them. The bushing brackets bolt into the body behind the control arms. For a rear sway bar, you can use OEM Si, GSR I think, or ITR/CTR 22mm (for this you should get a brace such as ASR.)

I just read through that post in the link and if I read it correctly, did it say you can use front LCA's from 92-95 civic on a 96-00 civic? I'm going to a local u-pick junkyard tomorrow to get the LCA's and sway bar for the front of my CX tomorrow and there are definitely more 92-95 Civics there then there are 96-00. I actually found an entire front subframe from a 92-95 sitting on the ground with both LCA's and all the sway bar components still attached. If I can pull the parts off that it would save me a lot of time.
I should have updated that write up for the EG info. I'd like to but it's been re-posted so many times across the internet I wouldn't be able to update my original and make a difference.
Although you can bolt up the front portion of the EG arm to the EK arm, the inner bolt size is not the same diameter. You'd have to swap out those bushings. It's not a problem if you have access to a press but most don't so don't plan on using those arms.
Stick to EK EX or HX arms if you have a 96-00 Civic.

I wrote that wrong... I want to use the rear half of the EG LCA (since it has the mounting hole for the sway bar) on the front half of my EK LCA. I don't have a press, so I'm guessing regardless of which way you go you still need to change out a bushing?
