okay so i have a 96 civic dx coupe and just recentaly swap in a jdm b18c gsr motor and i noticed when i slowly creep up to vtec, bout 10% throttle, once vtec kicks in it boggs but if i punch it it pulls hard is this normal. also since its a motor from japan it has no vtec pressure switch could that be why it boggs. thank yall in advance

get teh pressure switch, and make sure u have enough oil

 

im useing a jdm p73 013 ecu so it doesnt have a vtec pressure switch pin for the ecu i dont think thats the problem cuzz honda would of put one especialy for jdm motors

i agree check your oil level. the vtec switch is activated by oil pressure, not enough oil no vtec
