Default b16a overheating?

my b16 civic starts to get real hot if i'm not moving. i'm using my stock radiator and my fan does turn on.. i'm just wondering if it's my thermostat or maybe my fan switch is bad and not turning on early enough..

any ideas?

I think you should also change out the thermostat...
Mine used to over heat b/c of the thermostat, once I changed it problem solved....

It also could be the head gasket. Pull your oil dipstick and check the color of the oil. Also unscrew your oild fill cap. Look inside the head and on the cap. If it looks creamy(chocolate milk) looking you sir probably have a blown head gasket.

Also check for a broken hoses.... Their are a couple small coolant lines near the intake manifold....

HTH.

i know it's not the head gasket.. the oil isn't milky and the coolant is still green.

i'll definitely change the thermostat.. do i use the one from a del sol vtec and the thermostat gasket too.

is there any low temp thermostats or should i just use a stocker?

did you bleed the system after you filled it with anti? you will get big pocklets of air if you dont then you will cause engine damage.
