My 91 civic has recently started having a hard time starting when warm. The car starts like normal after it has been sitting but doesn't want to start after I have been deriving and shut it off for 5-10min. I believe that the fuel pump is going (353k miles). I changed out the igniter, cap&rotor, and coil a few months ago tracking down a starting problem when it was raining outside(car had to be cold) so I know that the problem is none of these components. The car runs great when warm as long I I do not turn it off. I have also noticed that the car will start hesitating and misfiring after shifting up to the next gear while accelerating. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator today and it was not the problem. Am I right to think that the fuel pump is the problem? I do hear the fuel pump when I turn the key and the car does not smell flooded during the hard time starting.
